CBECC-Com Nonresidential Compliance Software

CBECC-Com uses EnergyPlus to perform simulations using a Simplified Geometry Method or Detailed Geometry Method with Sketchup and OpenStudio SketchUp Plugin for Detailed geometry input. Instructions and links for downloading the compliance software and the associated supporting software are listed below.

  1. CBECC-Com 2019.0.2 RV (Research Version updated December 2017)

    CBECC-Com 2019.0.2 RV version is for research purposes only and cannot be used to show compliance of any version of the Standards. This version can be used to test certain proposed changes to the 2019 Standards (as listed in the Quick Start Guide). This version does not contain all the changes that will be part of the 2019 Standards and results from this version cannot be used for compliance and are subject to change as the 2019 Standards development continues.

    New in this version:
    • Updated 2019 TDV tables (February 2017)
    • Revised summary results reporting (.log.csv) which includes the following:
      - columns containing new Process Motors enduse results (all zeroes in this release) for proposed & standard electric, natural gas, propane use & electric demand
      - columns reporting proposed & standard unregulated and whole building total TDV use
      - columns reporting proposed & standard TDV use by fuel type (electric, natural gas, propane)
      - columns reporting conditioned and total floor area
    • CBECC-Com 2019.0.1 RV (Research Version) incorporates the updated 2019 TDV tables and shows Generation Coincident Peak Demand factors, however all other performance calculations and rules are based on CBECC-Com 2016.2.1 and follow the 2016 Standards and ACM
    • CBECC-Com 2019.0.1 RV version is for research purposes only and cannot be used to show compliance of any version of the Standards.
    • The user manual and quick start guide have references to the 2016 Standards and these will be updated with the release of the approved 2019 software version in the future.
    • For this version if QuickAnalysis is used it will not calculate the Generation Coincident Peak Demand factors as these are only available using the full analysis option.
  2. Download/Install SketchUp & OpenStudio SketchUp Plugin

    CBECC-Com uses SketchUp in combination with OpenStudio SketchUp Plugin to create and building geometry for input into CBECC-Com for simulation and compliance analysis. Please use the links below to download these supporting tools:
